Recruitment of Engineer Trainee & Post Doctoral Fellow in Indian Institute of Astrophysics(IIAP) 2011, Last Date: 11.03.2011

Applications are invited for the following positions to work in the HESP Project at Bangalore

Engineer Trainee(Electrical): 01 Post
Engineer Trainee(Electronics): 01 Post
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics or M.Sc Physics with strong background or training in Electrical/Electronics.
Additional qualification: working knowledge of linux operating system or experience with astronomical instrumentation.
Age: 25 years
Salary: Rs.16,000/- PM during I year, Rs.17,000/- PM during II year and Rs.18,000/- PM during III year(inclusive of all)

Engineer Trainee(Software): 01 Post
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or M.Sc Physics with experience in instrument control software development.
Additional qualification: working knowledge of linux operating system or experience with astronomical instrumentation.
Age: 25 years
Salary: Rs.16,000/- PM during I year, Rs.17,000/- PM during II year and Rs.18,000/- PM during III year(inclusive of all)

Post Doctoral Fellow: 01 Post
Qualification: Ph.D in Physics(experimental)/Instrumentation/Electronics/Optics.
Age: 36 years
Salary: Rs.28,600/- PM(inclusive of all).

Age: Age relaxation is permissible to SC, ST & OBC candidates and also to physically handicapped candidates as notified by Govt. of India from time to time

Last Date: The last date for receipt of application is 11th March, 2011.
