Job Description
The ideal candidate will:
â Do the environment management for the systems, viz. application patching, writing utility scripts etc.
â Manage the database functions related to the application viz. database refreshes, query tuning, etc.
â Do the regression testing of the systems involved after bug fixes, enhancements.
â Sometimes analyse Java code to understand the functioning of application and locate errors. So, he should have a sufficient understanding of Java code.
â Provide technical support to applications hosted on UNIX systems.

Desired Candidate Profile
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
â UNIX and NT support experience including Environment management functions
â Good knowledge of Unix and Perl scripting
â Good working knowledge of relational databases â Oracle
â Basic knowledge of Java
â 2+ years of supporting business critical and time critical applications(preferably in an investment banking environment)
â Good knowledge of messaging (MQ Series/JMS)
â Knowledge of web-servers - configuration and working, preferably Jboss.
â Ability to communicate effectively
