.Net Developer Job Description:
We have several Permanent Placement positions in downtown Lexington for .Net developers.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for developing large-scale multi-tier .Net based applications, outlining program unit test criteria and conducting thorough unit testing, performing and verifying system builds, utilizing software development lifecycle processes and working with business analysts to resolve functional issues and technical implementation considerations.
Responsibilities:
Develop project plan to create new applications or objects in accordance with user specifications; analyze project specifications to ensure organizational standards are met. This includes new code, creation of database objects, code design, technical design, coding, tuning, documentation, and/or testing. Monitor project plans to track tasks that affect critical business functions. Ability to successfully implement large scale projects with little or no supervision. Consult with supervisor, systems analysts, other programmers, and end users to gather information about program intent, functions, features, data requirements, input requirements, output requirements, internal and external checks and controls, and interfaces with other systems. Designs or writes program specifications based on consultations with supervisor, systems analysts, other programmers, and end users.
Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent in technical study is preferred. At least 1 year of development skills experience with VB, JavaScript, XML, ASP and HTML, Visual Studio, and .NET framework preferred. Those with Oracle RDMS experience strongly desired. Power Builder and AJAX experience is a plus. A qualified candidate must have the ability to work effectively as an individual or in a team. Strong interpersonal communication, technical design, technical writing skills and attention to detail are required.
