Vacancy for Faculty Positions

Applications are invited from Indian nationals for the posts of

* Professors (Rs.18400-500-22400)
* Associate Professors (Rs.16400-450-20000)
* Assistant Professors (Rs.12000-420-18300)
* Lecturers (Rs.10000-325-15200)

In various areas of IT, MBA (IT) and MS (CLIS) specifically in the areas of Wireless Sensors, Mobile Devices and Communications, Embedded Systems, Java and .Net Programming, Electronic Instrumentation, Senbsor/ Device Design and Fabrication, Microelectronics, Management (MBA-IT), Operations Research, Information Security Microelectronics & VLSI Design, Embeded Systems, Production and Operation Research, Information Security.

Minimum Qualification (for all faculty positions) : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very good academic record throughout, In addition, for

* Professor : 09 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Associate Professor.
* Associate Professor : 07 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor.
* Assistant Professor : 3 years teaching/ research/ industrial experience.
* Lecturer : Fresh Ph.D’s in concerned subject without teaching experience. Deserving candidate pursuing Ph.D. and having outstanding academic records from reputed Institute, may also be considered and on being selected will get an opportunity to complete their Ph.D. within 3 years from the date of appointment along with a yearly performance appraisal. Thereafter they can be considered for the post of Assistant Professor if found suitable

Application in prescribed format should be sent to the Executive Secretary, Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, Deoghat, Jhalwa, Allahabad-211012 Last date now extended upto 13/05/2009 with a D.D. of Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST/OBC candidates) of any nationalised bank in the name of “IIIT Allahabad” payable at Allahabad.
