Job Description :
The candidate will lead a team responsible for designing and implementing enhancements to improve access to and from the PEGARules Process Commander database, a critical component of the Pegasystems’ BPM Suite. The candidate is expected to provide hands-on contribution to architecture and design of the product. As an enterprise IT expert, the candidate is also expected to promote the vision of Process Commander as an end to end environment for design and creation of solutions.

Key Result Areas:
• Lead the team to achieve predictable and timely releases of software
• Contribute to PRPC product roadmap and feature planning
• Initiate and manage efforts to improve the quality of the product
• Help build the team and grow skills of the group
• Communicate features of the product, best practices, and conventions inside and outside the company and organize feedback for product evolution
• Provide and meet time estimates for assigned deliverables.
• Work with Quality Assurance to develop test plans and strategies to produce high-quality products.
• Work with Technical Communications to ensure software features and technologies are properly documented.
• Present to and work with senior management to communicate knowledge, ideas and opinions.
• Other responsibilities and key result areas as required or assigned.
Functional Expertise:
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Experience leading a team of software engineers
• Experience working for software product development company
• Experience working with companies in BPM, CRM or Workflow automation space a plus
Technical Expertise:
Required :
- Strong Database Application design skills
- Strong Algorithmic skills
- SQL & Stored procedure development (5+ years)
- JDBC or ODBC development (3+ years)
- Object oriented programming experience preferably in Java (6+ years)
- XML (2+ years)
Desired :
- Database Internals
- Websphere or Weblogic Application Server skills
- Database Performance tuning
- DB Cross Platform experience (Oracle, SQL Server, DB/2 or DB/2 ZOS)
- Ability to use Database Analysis Tools
- Proficiency in J2EE technologies including EJBs, JMS, JSP’s and Servlets
