1. Good analytical & troubleshooting skills
2. Good communication skills
3. Team Player & enthusiastic
4. Good understanding of Java & other related technologies viz. Server side, Frameworks etc.
5. Knowledge of new features of Java viz. Generics, Annotations & boxing/unboxing
6. Exposed to Datastructres & Algorithms
7. Working knowledge of Unit Testing, Code Coverage & Memory profiling tools & frameworks. Viz. JUnit, OptimizIt, Cobertura or JCoverage
8. Knowledge of Design Patterns & UML
9. Knowledge of Databases viz. Informix, Oracle or any other SQL 99 compliant DB eg. MySql, SQL Server etc.
10. Exposure to Version Control Systems is desirable
11. Good debugging skills
