Designation: Intern

Job Description:
The Solaris Revenue Product Engineering (RPE) team in India is looking for an
Student Intern who is an outstanding, highly motivated individual with a can-do attitude and strong sense of responsibility.

This student intern will be working on automating the steps involved in the patching process of the NFS / UFS / ZFS AND SVM bugs.

The Solaris RPE team is responsible for fixing escalated bugs, providing test binaries for customers, and putting back fixes into the Solaris source base. The watch word is challenging and frequently involves mission critical systems for high profile customers. Situations may involve teaming with other Sun organizations to resolve difficult or complex issues. We also maintain close contact with developers to improve knowledge on future features in Solaris. We prepare and deliver training on Solaris, debugging tools, and diagnostic techniques to engineers in other Sun organizations.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing tools which help engineers meet their core job requirements as well as help in process automation.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills

* Strong project management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
* Outstanding written and oral communication skills

Required Knowledge and Skills

* Strong programming and Operating systems experience / interest.
* Experience using C to write software solutions and debugging skills
* Understanding of UNIX/Linux fundamentals, scripting and shell programming techniques

Desired Profile:
MTech/BE/BTech Students (Computer Science)

Experience: 0 Years

Education: UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Computers
PG - M.Tech - Computers, Electrical, Electronics/Telecomunication
