Job Description :

Job scope :
1) Internal communication (probably ca. 70% of the time?)
Safety communication supporting the safety manager.
Local employee communication: local magazine/newsletter, internal marketing and promoting of important issues (zero defect, quality etc.)
KEI management support in change, strategy, value communications in collaboration with HR colleagues.
Crisis communication (planning and executing when needed).
Collaboration with the global and corporate communication team:
Member of the KONE communicators network participating 1/month in centra updates.
Member of the editorial board for corporate internal magazine KONE Post ie. contributing to its contents and bringing the Indian perspective into the magazine.
Local distribution and translation process management of global messages: presidents letters, infoFlashes etc.

2) Media relations (external communication) (rest of the time?), key actions 2007 preferably
Media targeting: which media, which journalists important for KEI
Media plan: action plan by quarter, taking into account milestones like local new product releases, global product launches, visits by KONE corporate management etc.
Management media training, in collaboration with eg. PR agency
Regular media contact to most important journalists.
Media events, visits V in collaboration with corporate communications team.
Article and news production eg. of significant new deals, projects for local press releases, and to corporate magazines and website.

Desired Candidate Profile :
Requirements and personal features

A university degree, preferably in journalism in English language (you know of course better about the local requirements, universities etc.)
Ability to filter lots of information and to crystallize it into compelling stories.
Good business understanding, and
Additional benefit if knowledgeable of the dos and donts in a stock listed company when e.g. dealing with the media.
An organized and ambitious approach to work.
Team player skills, promoting sharing of knowledge, and capability to interact in a global environment; global corporate communications team from Helsinki KONE HQ will function as your support and consulting team when ever necessary.
