Job Description:
Websphere Administrator: -
Production Support experience -Systems administrator will work as part of the production support and infrastructure team for Universal Workstation to support UW environments production, test and development. UW is a J2EE based application that is used 24 * 6. The production support and infrastructure team helps maintain the system infrastructure for Universal Workstation application. The systems administrator will be responsible for: Monitoring the production system and respond to issues. Troubleshoot production issues and work with users and the development team in resolving issues. Performing planned maintenance tasks during maintenance window. Run builds in test environments and perform production installs. Performing version upgrades for the application in all environments including upgrades to IBM HTTP server, IBM WebSphere Application server, Oracle database server. Set up infrastructure in development, test and production environments for projects. Work with the development and performance test team to identify performance tuning opportunities. Required Skills: Experience in IBM WebSphere 5.1 including deployment with strong Oracle background. Experience supporting high availability production applications using Windows 2003 servers. Experience running builds for J2EE based applications. Familiarity with Active Directory. Nice to have skills: Experience with performance tuning. Experience in Epiphany Sales and Service involving upgrades. Knowledge of PERL scripting. Qualification: BE / B.Tech / BS in Information Systems or Computer Science / MBA / MCA / M.Sc / ME / M.Tech.
