Responsibilities:
Debugging high performance high availability databases High level performance tuning and capacity planning Reviewing and applying database schema changes Creating and maintaining replicated standby databases On-call outside of business hours.
Creating automation in a distributed database environment
Requirements:
2 years of experience as a MySQL DBA in production mission critical enterprise environments Strong Linux systems administration UNIX shell scripting Hands-on experience with replication
Preferred:
MySQL certification
Redhat certification
MySQL on DRBD experience
MySQL on Solaris, Windows, or FreeBSD
MySQL in-memory clustering
Experience migrating from other RDBMS to MySQL and vice-versa Oracle DBA and/or MS SQL experience
