Job Description :
Roles will include the following:

- Mel Scripting*

a) UI Development
- Creating UI With all Kinds of UI Elements in the Needed Layout
- Creating AE Templates
- Modifying Existing MayaUI Windows
- Creating/Modifying Menus, Shelves, Model Panels etc.
b) Writing Expressions
- Particle Expressions
- Modifying Attributes/Nodes Per Frame
c) Script Nodes & Script Jobs
d) File Handling
e) Organizing & Managing User Pref, User Bitmap & User Icon Dir
f) Managing Environment Variables
g) Writing Wrappers & Automating Several Repetitive Tasks (Like Macros)
h) Organizing & Managing the Maya Startup Menus & Shelfs
for each & evert department/user

- Python Programming*

a) File Handling
b) UI Development (Including Maya UI Development)
c) Writing Wrappers & Automating Several Repetitive Tasks (Like Macros)
d) Managing Environment Variables
e) Writing Applications which can Read Image/Video information (Like TIFF/TGA.../MOV)
f) Writing Python Code using Maya Python Commands to Automate Tasks in Maya
g) Familiar with Python UI Toolkits like wxpython, qtpython etc.,

* Almost all the applications/scripts developed is assumed to be os independent

Knowledge in the following topics is essential in Maya:
- Common Node Types
(Including Shapes, Materials, Constraints, Dynamics, Deformers etc.)
- Common Attribute Types (Including Commonly Known Compound/Multi Attributes)
- DAG & DG
- Option Variables
- TroubleShooting/Debugging a given Maya Scene File Or Mel Script for issues/errors & fixing them
