Job Description :
We are seeking talented and motivated software engineers preferably with multiple years of experience in developing large scale software systems.
Our goal is to bring a wide range of software technologies to Life Science imaging including: multi-dimensional acquisition, hardware control, synchronization, data management
and real-time image analysis.

Desired Candidate Profile :
An ideal candidate should have a BS or MS degree in engineering or science and must have advanced software engineering skills and the ability to independently produce well designed, maintainable, readable and elegant software.

Our desktop front-end is based mainly on Java. Experience with Java and SWING is a strong plus. Proficiency in C++ is also desirable but not absolutely required. The candidate should be able to demonstrate expert level knowledge of Java, familiarity with Object Oriented design principles
and UML, as well as understanding of fundamental computer science principles: parser and lexical analyzer structure, basic algorithms, concurrent programming and middleware.

Software technology is essential for image acquisition and coordinating various robotic hardware in modern scientific grade microscopes. 100X Imaging's business model differs dramatically from existing companies because it supports and develops Open Source software. This approach removes many obstacles that scientists from the academic and private sector face with proprietary software.
