Designation: Software Engineer / Support Engineer
The Profile:
1. The position is for product support / troubleshooting profile
2. This group is responsible for proactive as well as reactive monitoring of deployed AVAYA equipments to customer premises.
3. The Engineers would normally be troubleshooting AVAYA CM, S8xxx servers and Data Network Devices.
4. The various responsibilities will be scheduling maintenance activities like incident management, proactive monitoring on Fault management, change management, release updates.
5. This is not a wan link management profile.
*Good Communication skill is mandatory.*
Technical Skills Criteria:
1. Preferably graduate in any Engineering stream.
2. Candidate should possess at least 1year experience in Data Networking.
3. Profile may contain key words like H.323, VOIP, PBX, TCP/IP, Routing, CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, ACA, ACS, ACE, switching.
4. Candidate having prior exposure to Advance Services is desired but not mandatory.
Prerequisites:
1. Ready to work in shifts
2. Should be ready to transition from Data profile (100% Data) to a VOIP/ PBX profile (20% Data)
3. Should be clear of what business AVAYA deals in. It is not only the core data Networks that we troubleshoot, the candidate should be open to get into telecom world.
4. The core Telecom people should have basic knowledge on Data Networks.
