Job Description :

PROJECT SUMMARY AND POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Corporate services group is currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer to work on web and smart client based projects. The position will design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and implement software for Corporate Services suite of products using technologies such as C#, .Net framework, SharePoint, SQL Server.
The role of the Senior Software Engineer is to understand software requirements and to develop software solutions based on those requirements. The Senior Software Engineer position is an engineering position, requiring an individual with an extensive technical background in software development tools and techniques, as well as strong analytical and abstract reasoning skills

ESSENTIAL DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES :

o Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug and implement software for Corporate Services suite of products using technologies such as ASP.NET, C#, .NET 3.5, XML, XSL, CSS and SQL Server
o Develop applications with with Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) and the SharePoint Portal Server (SPS).
o Develop Rich Internet Applications using Javascript and Ajax
o Takes high-level architecture and design models from architects and making them happen through detailed design and code.
o Support the Tech Lead and Architect in building POCs and doing research.
o Participates in technical design reviews, functional specification reviews, and contribute to development project estimates, scheduling, test plans, and code reviews.
o Proactively raises issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product.
o Proactively identifies and resolves potential problems/issues including authoring of technical specifications.
o Regularly informs manager on progress of project, identifying risks early in the process.
o Demonstrates self-directed and proactive approach to tackling problems and leveraging resources.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
80% development, 20% maintenance

Desired Profile :

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:

BE/BTech - 4 Years Full Time course

REQUIRED SKILLS:
o 7+ years in design, development, testing and implementation of
o Microsoft technologies; .NET 2.0, .NET 3.5, C#, ASP.NET, Ajax, CSS, XML, XSL, WCF
o SharePoint Portal Server and Windows SharePoint Services implementation and deployment experience including creation of custom web parts
o Should have been involved in end to end development of a complex project
o Familiarity with SQL Server. He/she should be able to write complex SQL's
o Strong object-oriented design skills
o Excellent communication skills

DESIRED SKILLS :
o Strong skills in general software architecture, software development methodology, mentoring, and leadership are desirable.
o Experience working in the financial industry is a plus.
o Microsoft Certification is a plus
