About CMS SSG group
The CMS Technology Shared Services Group will focus on the development and evolution of CMS package standards, creation and maintenance of solution accelerators for key CMS platforms, and provide direct project assistance and specialized support / skills to our delivery teams building a solution on top of a CMS platform.
This core group of CMS specialists and senior CMS platform developers will form a team of people with specialized knowledge and proven experience with delivering complex engagements on CMS platforms, and will have the relevant skills, abilities and expertise on these platforms to support our delivery teams at Sapient. The team will exist as a sub-team of the Delivery Capabilities (DC) team; pooling together a group of senior people from within and outside Sapient (external hires) that are passionate about excellence in CMS technology, creating an impact on our delivery teams and improving / furthering our capabilities within this technology space.
JOB PURPOSE
As an individual contributor, the Associate contributes to the Project Team by using his/her in-depth knowledge of Sharepoint to deliver his/her works within the prescribed timeframe with the highest degree of accuracy, thoroughness, and efficiency. The Senior Associate works collaboratively with the project team members in an unstructured, ambiguous environment. S/He may drive a small sub-team on a project, as necessary. Some domestic overnight and/or international travel may be required.

Key Responsibility Areas - Major Activities
Design
a. Participates in requirement gathering and design sessions and creates necessary requirement artifacts based on the guidelines
b. Provides inputs and designs application modules under direction of a Senior Developer /Track Lead or an Architect.
Development
a. Writes application code to meet expected quality standards by conforming to the steps of doneness defined by the project.
b. Identifies and creates unit test cases and writes code to validate those test cases
c. Participates in technical walkthroughs/ code reviews of other team members’ components, test plans and results and help them with gaps
Planning & Tracking
a. Works with Track leads or the Architect to create mid level and low level plans for the modules they own or are working on
b. Reports accurate status to the track lead/ architect
c. Identifies & escalates issues that might delay the work. Reports progress and issues to the track lead/ Manager in a timely manner. In particular, to relay issues that might impact on quality or the ability to deliver to timescales or estimates.
Process Adherence
a. Delivers in compliance with Sapient methodology, processes, tools and technology standards
Documentation
a. Creates, maintains and updates the design documentation for the modules he/she is responsible for
Client Interaction
a. Participates in client meetings when required, and provide inputs and ask relevant questions during both the design and implementation phases.
DOMAIN COMPETENCIES
a. Proven skills to work ''independently'', with 2 - 4 yrs of total experience
b. Minimum 12 months of Vignette experience.
c. Project experience in using Version 7 of Vignette Content Management (VCM), Vignette Application Portal (VAP), Dynamic Portal (DP) - combination of all three would be ideal
d. Understanding of VCM APIs
e. Understanding of caching layers in the product
f. Building portlets (based on JSR168 or DP)
g. Project experience in enterprise Java stack, Core Java, JSP, Servlets, WebServices
Experience : 1 - 4 Years
Education : UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization, PG - Post Graduation Not Required
