Recruitment for Technical Writer

Job Description :
Will be working Onsite at Client end - Yahoo Groups at Yahoo's Bangalore office as a Technical Writer.

Responsibities will include:
Creating descriptive and instructional documentation to support Higher Education software products in a variety of distributable forms, including online help systems and hardcopy manuals.
• Evaluate use cases, specifications, software requirements, and other process artifacts to inform the design of materials that help clients work with products
• Install and use software to obtain an understanding of the product and the needs of the end user
• Interview and interact with developers and other subject matter experts (SMEs) to obtain a better understanding of software and/or information that should be packaged for clients
• Interface with project and development managers to define documentation tasks associated with software releases and to create and execute upon project plans that anticipate these tasks
• Write instructions, procedures, and background information based upon evaluation of use cases, specifications, input and interviews, and practical software use
• Ensure writing material helps improve logical presentation with correct grammatical and typographical representations
• Package and release materials as appropriate for a given product, which may include generating PDFs, posting materials on file servers, or checking materials into product source code

Desired Profile :
1) The writer must have strong technical aptitudes.
2) Be able to work effectively against deadlines, and
3) Posses the interpersonal skills necessary to work across organizational lines to develop and maintain a rapport with a variety of individuals.
4) Familiarity with Technical writing tools like;
MS Office
RoboHelp
Photoshop
FrameMaker

Location : Bangalore
Experience : 0-3 Years
