Education : UG - B.Tech/B.E. - Computers PG - Post Graduation Not Required

Job Description :
FactSet is looking for a talented and motivated engineer to specialize in desktop application development. Although experience in Visual FoxPro or Visual Basic is preferred, FactSet is willing to train. The engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining our financial data research applications. Work will include the design and development of Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic and C#.net application interface forms, and reports. The engineer must have experience in using SQL Server as the back-end server for the database. This engineering group will transition to C#.net within the next few years, so .net experience is a plus.

Desired Candidate Profile :
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from reputed institutes like IIT, REC, BITS, JNU
Fluent in English
Experience with an object oriented programming languages (Visual FoxPro, VB, or C# Developer preferred)
Experience developing GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces)
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/Transact SQL or Oracle)
Ability to work independently
Ability to self-manage
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Willing to serve as an on-call engineer.
Good communication skills and ability to service the needs of end-users
Good trouble-shooting skills (Knowledge of Networks is a plus)
Analytical and code reading skills
