Create and maintain product documentation. (Create user guides, help-text manuals) In the process, create project plans; follow the document development life cycle from initiation to release.
Communicate and interact with actual developers of products.
Researching and verifying information that is to be included in the manual, brochure, e-book or other written material.
Writing the project within the stipulated timeline and submitting it to the client for feedback.
Learning about, working with and utilizing various new and existing software publishing and writing programs.
Completing all revisions and modifications as required.
Desired Profile :
Good communication skills, language skills, interviewing and organizing skills.
Experience working in RoboHelp, Adobe Framemaker, exposure to web applications, MS Office (MS-Word and MS-Powerpoint), SnagIt or any other image capturing and image editing tool, Microsoft Visio.
Capable of writing in accordance with MSTP and company-specific style guide.
Knowledge of VSS, or any other version control tool.
Basic knowledge of HTML.
Capable of handling documentation tasks independently. Capable of load balancing and managing multiple deliverables.
Reviewing skills, template design.
Job Specification :
Should have minimum 6 months to 2 years experience in mentioned skills sets.
Good Communication skills and an understanding of the process of writing are important.
Update on the latest trends in Technical writing and self motivated to learn emerging technologies as applicable.
Proficiency in any foreign language like French, Spanish or German, though not mandatory, would be advantageous.
