Job Description :
Major Responsibility Area
• Plans, estimates and delivers detailed systems design and specification of systems.
• Assists in estimates of time and resources required for delivering specified programs. Develop and maintain complex programs from broad technical specifications.
• Prepares unit and QA Lab test plans and data, carries out unit testing and assesses QA test results.
• Ensures that programs developed meet performance criteria set out in business and technical requirements specifications. Produces system documentation containing sufficient information to explain the working and logic flow of the different sections within a system. Writes instructions for the running of the system in production in accordance with standards.
• Facilitates program walkthroughs, highlighting and discussing any apparent errors, omissions or deviation from standards with other team members. Takes part in systems walkthroughs with other team members.
• Plans, directs and participates in system implementation. Explains the functional aspects of developed computer systems to users.
• Resolves system problems, carries out the investigation, coding, testing and implementation of non-complex system fixes.
• Ensures standards, policies and procedures related to the OTSS-IT systems development environment are followed.
• Provides input into the formulation of IT standards and policies relevant to application system development.
• Provides first and second level support activities within a broad range of applications, and provides technical assistance to other more junior members of the support/help desk team. Provides support for new applications..
Essential Experience Profile
Undertakes all build, unit testing, integration testing, System testing support, implementation support & post implementation activities required for a release and also participates in peer reviews. Good understanding of computer systems analysis and design methods such as structured analysis, design techniques and work flow analysis Broad systems knowledge of a relevant business area with an in depth knowledge the systems and business needs with that area Good knowledge of Vision Plus Application, transactions flow across various interfaces. Fair knowledge of Settlement Process in Vision Plus is also essential.
