Qualification : Any Engineering with computer Science / Information Technology as base
Experience: 5-9 years Mandatory
Skills: Project Management of production and application support. Experience of working on banking domain is a must. Must have worked in a support/M&E engagement for at least 2 year; clear understanding of support responsibilities, SLA management, client expectation management, escalation management Technically competent in Core Java, JDBC and J2EE technologies (servlets, JSP) with hands-on experience of at least 3 years using these technologies Knowledge and experience with open source technologies and frameworks.
Specifically : Struts - at least 3 years. (other MVC frameworks added advantage) Hands-on experience with some Linux/Unix platform Understanding of J2EE concepts - including builds (using Ant), application packaging and deploying Knowledge of relational database systems, and experience with at least one RDBMS (Oracle, though MySQL preferred) Strong in OO concepts Excellent verbal and written communication skills (role will require extensive client interactions and emphasis on process adherence and documentation) Good coordination skills (should have led a team of about 4-6 members) Proven abilities in managing small-medium teams; good inter-personal skills Should have carried out estimations (any methodology) and planning as part of responsibilities Should have good analysis and reporting skills Should have good understanding of testing and defect tracking and management Should have understanding of release management/coordination/planning and configuration management/control processes Should have experience and knowledge of QA processes (typical of a CMM-level organization)
Should have been responsible for reviews: documents (technical and non-technical), source code and should have followed/used generally accepted best practices (coding standards, guidelines, etc)
