Job Description :
Roles & Responsibilities :
Responsible for working on coding and testing application code or troubleshooting defects and production issues. Responsible for translating business requirements into functional specifications. Usually works as an independent contributor and works with little to no supervision. Engages with business to ensure technical specifications meet business requirements. Coordinates application recovery procedures with helpdesk operations area and/or infrastructure support teams. Must have comprehensive expertise in the software development process. Position requires the ability to lead small teams toward a common goal or completion of initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Participant in project planning sessions with businesses, architects, technical support staff, and / or team members to analyze Business IT requirements
- Defines and designs and codes application code and program modules
- Works closely with business and service delivery team to ensure appropriate business measures are defined
- Design and create work flows to accommodate projects
- Assist with creating timelines and estimates for projects
- Create detailed design documents
- Designs and supports integration testing plans. Develops and executes unit and integration test scripts.
- Tests applications for bugs and limitations and ensures overall quality of software delivered according to defined standards
- Collaborates with the Information Architect to create logical data model
- Ensures the application interacts efficiently with interfacing applications and platforms
- Defines and implements back-up/recovery procedures
- Configures application connectivity (e.g., Openclient, ODBC, etc.)
- Plans and implements application upgrades and migrations
- Manage user requests for production system enhancements offering enterprise solutions. Manage resulting development within agreed time frames with no production impact errors.

Desired Candidate Profile :
1)Tandem Technical Skills 1-3 years experience
Experience with Tandem S-Series hardware and software platform
Experience with Native COBOL, SCOBOL, SQL, TACL, Tal procedure calls, and Pathway
Experience with Java Programming
2) Systems Analysis- Ability to read and comprehend business and functional requirements to develop detailed design documents. Basic understanding of development lifecycle.
3) Mercury Quality Center or other similar tools - Basic understanding including navigation between functional areas within the tool. Ability to input or load and execute test cases and document actual results within the tool
