Job Description: * Familiar with Engineering processes and methodologies to implement and maintain a coherent, progressive, code-based QA strategy for Autodesk Location Services Division.
* Writing test cases and test plan.
* Creating and modifying automated test scripts for functional, system and regression testing.
* Identifying and investigating state test bugs pre-release and post-release.
* Working with developers to investigate and resolve inconsistencies and bugs.
* Implementation and maintenance of complex tests and automations for Location Services Solutions, using structured and object-oriented methodologies, where applicable, to ensure efficient test coverage.
* Review Unit tests by Development Engineers.
* Responsible for UI and mobile client functional and system end-to-end testing.
* Uses design and code coverage analysis to evaluate and improve efficiency and coverage of product test strategy.
* Participates in team review of product and test code and specifications.
* Assist in the development of black-box and white-box testing strategies depending on complexity of build to build code changes and risk assessments.
* Involve in developing testing harness and test cases in support of these testing strategies.
* Support developers in applying debugging tools to assist in early detection of problems.
* Investigate and apply Web testing tools including Client/Server stress testing.
* Assist in the development and execution of Acceptance Test Plans (ATP).

Desired Candidate Profile: * 2 to 3 years of software quality assurance experience in a commercial environment.
* At least 2 years hands-on application testing experience using with Web-based, java, J2EE, EJB, JSP, Servlet, BEA Weblogic technologies.
* At least 2 years automation experience with WinRunner or WebLoad.
* BE/MS in Computer Science or related fields.
* Experience writing test strategies, test plans, planning and gathering test data and developing basic test tools.
* GUI test automation tools hands on project experience required.
* Working knowledge of C, C++, Java.
* Familiar with Software Engineering and Quality Assurance process and methodology.
* Understanding Nightly build processes and automated reporting etc.
* Experience with defect tracking system such as Clarify or Bugzilla.
* Strong oral and written presentation skills and excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Strong desire and ability to deliver results.
* Strong teamwork skills, leadership ability.
* Solid problem solving abilities and project execution strengths.
* Understanding and experience applying state-of-the-art software quality assurance methods, strategies, concepts, and tools. Test case automation experience is mandatory.
* Knowledge of application interfaces to relational databases such as Oracle 9i, DB2 connected through JDBC thick and thin clients.
* Knowledge of database design, SQL and relational database management systems using Oracle 9i.
* Experience in the setup and configuration of Unix (Sun OS/Solaris, Linux) in support of a N-tier application architecture.
* Ability to work flexible hours to meet critical project delivery deadlines.
