RBS India Development Centre (IDC), previously known as Churchill India / ITD India, was acquired as a part of the Churchill Insurance acquisition in 2003. Since then, it has conducted projects for Group Technology, a part of RBS' Manufacturing Division. In late 2005, the Corporate Markets has setup a development centre out in India that provides IT services to Retail, Corporate and Global Banking Markets (GBM) businesses. This will allow a high component of IT development and application production support to take place offshore for the Group. The India Development Centre (IDC) was launched in June'06 and there has been an increase in IT development activity carried out for the Group's business divisions. RBS India Development Centre is poised to grow phenomenally in the year 2006/2007. IDC has aggressive growth plans for both the Retail and Corporate Banking division (RCB) and Global Banking & Markets (GBM) in India and is looking forward to headcount of 1000-1200 in 2008.''

Job Description: Roles and Responsibilities:

Team Function and Responsibilities:
Team is responsible for the development and support of applications catering to front or middle or back office for interest rate and credit derivatives.
There is extensive interaction with other teams and users such as traders, operations and finance personnel. Business Functions which team support are Generic Reporting or PNL Reporting or Funding or Brokerage or Settlements or Reconciliation

Role specific Responsibilities:
The individual will mainly be required to

- Assist with the on-going development and enhancement of existing applications.
- Work with users to determine or freeze requirements and provide estimates.
- Develop new functionality and then provide support post-implementation
- Handle ad hoc queries from end-users and investigation of errors and bugs with appropriate debugging techniques
- Carry out routine support tasks such as rerunning parts of the overnight batch; Sending out status reports; Monitoring of Batch jobs.
- Progressively acquire knowledge of interest rate or credit product terminology and structure.
- Extend technical knowledge as driven by the nature of job.
- Manage time effectively to multi-task - meet defined timelines and keep senior team members updated on slippage or extra time on hand.

Desired Profile Experience:
Overall IT experience of 2 + yrs.
Proven ability to perform low level design and application development from LLD
Unit Testing
He should be comfortable enough to do trouble shooting, technical analysis and investigation.

Technical Skills:
Sybase (Writing stored procedures, complex query & query optimization)
Preferred Supplementary Experience (PowerBuilder 9,Java,PERL)

Personal Attributes:

Good spoken and written communication skills.
Must display initiative and capable of assuming ownership of adhoc jobs.
Matured and ability to operate under stress and demanding expectations.
Experience 2 - 5 Years

Education: UG - Any Graduate - Any Specialization
PG - Any PG Course - Any Specialization
