Job Description :
We are looking for System Administrators who are having minimum 2+ years of experience in various phases of IT infrastructure setup and maintenance. He / She should have good technical capabilities in Windows platform besides very good problem solving skills, install and configure new software on Windows environment.
Skills Required:
2-5 years of Experience in Windows System Administration Extensive knowledge of Windows NT/2000/2003 Servers (Standard and Enterprise), Active Directory Strong Knowledge in Active Directory concepts like OU, Sites, Services, Trusts GPO, FSMO etc
Creating, Configuring, Managing and troubleshooting Group Policy objects (GPOs)
Advanced troubleshooting skills in OS related issues
Administration of DNS, WINS, DHCP Servers
Disk Administrator: Compact Partitions & Shares, Disk Quotas, DFS
Patch management and Virus Management
Active Directory Replication Monitoring and Active Directory Maintenance,
Tier II Support, Server upgrades, Backup, Performance
Monitoring and project participation as required.
Design, Install and configure
- DNS/WINS/DHCP management and troubleshooting
- Print Queue Management and creation
- File Service capacity management and queue management
Use performance analysis tolls, event viewer, etc to troubleshoot issues
Root Cause Analysis and performance analysis
Microsoft Exchange Application/Services
- Operational management of a global Exchange domain
- Monitor e-Mail messaging to internal and external Domains (Internet), SMTP messaging
Physical and logical server monitoring including hardware, operating system and applications.
Participate in a 7x24-hour on-call rotation to provide after business hours support
Provide methods to optimize server installation and performance of disaster recovery as needed. Provide Tier II support to customers and work with group tracking systems, serve as a technical resource for customers
Event Log and Replication monitoring, error resolution on a daily check basis
Develop and update technical process and procedure documentation as needed.
Project participation in global/local projects as required
Issue escalation to Tier III support, and problem resolution with Microsoft support in collaboration with other teams if needed
Execute and follow up any and all issues arising from operational checks, tasks and monitors (Tier I support)
In addition to the above:
- Candidate should be willing to work in 2nd or 3rd Shift
- 24 x 7 on call availability
- Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Problem Solving Skills, ability to work in a team environment
- Possesses strong product / technology / industry knowledge and results driven.
